Last Post for 2014

Hello everyone how are you all doing? I am happy to be with you all on the last day of 2014. May the coming year bring to all of us love, peace of mind, success and prosperity. In the meantime since the official company website of Lancast Ltd was launched on 12 November 2014 we have been getting a lot of attention and that is always a good thing.  So let’s get started with the final blog for this year. 🙂

Lancast Ltd in Film and Television

1.  This has truly been a productive end of the year for Lancast Ltd.
Navid Lancaster has been privileged to be part of the feature docudrama “Pan! Our Music Odyssey”. Written and co-produced by his friend Dr. Kim Johnson this 90-minute docudrama tells the story of the steelpan from “… its genesis, through re-enactment stories, to its propagation all around the world …”. The film made its World Première by opening the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival 2014 and garnered rave reviews plus a standing ovation. The box set (inclusive of DVD and CD soundtrack) is out now and you can get it here at

I am honoured to be part of the film and to be included, for Technical Assistance, in the credits.

2. Lancast Ltd lands music on game show!! I am happy to announce tDemocracy Challenge Logo screen shothat Lancast Ltd has had its music placed on Season 1 of the game show “Democracy Challenge”. This game show puts teams against each other testing their knowledge on the history and workings of the Parliament of the Government of Trinidad & Tobago. The music will be constantly playing in the background during the competition. The first episode will air on New Year’s Day (Thursday 1st January 2015) on the Parliament Channel in Trinidad and Tobago.

The time of the airing will be announced soon. For more details (and to watch the livestream of the game show channel online) you can go to this link to their website.

An alternative to Paypal in Trinidad and Tobago?

3. Paywise, the Idea to Innovation (i2i) 2013 Grant Winner, promises to solve your online payment problems. Ian T. Alleyne, creator of Paywise, explains.

“Many of us struggle to start an online business in Trinidad and Tobago. Most times it isn’t because we lack the will, ambition, talent, resources or a fantastic idea. Often we struggle because there is no cost effective way to receive payments online in Trinidad and Tobago. Yes there is Paypal. However, I have heard so much bad stories about the service that it is not worth the pain trying to use it. Trinidad and Tobago is a cash economy; only 15% of the adult population has credit cards. Accepting credit card payments means we cannot target online, the majority of the population that spend cash only.

That was the case until I found Paywise allows persons to sell online without the hassle of Paypal. Payments are made using cash or LINX cards only. It is easy to use, secure and payments are deposited to your bank account the next business day. All payments are in TT Dollars.

The system easily integrates into your website, Facebook page and popular shopping carts like Woocommerce. You can sell anything online using Paywise. Even digital goods through a subscription. My struggles are over. I hope yours are too.”

Final Thoughts for 2014

We have come to the end of the blog for 2014. Let me say that I am humbled that since this new website was launched on 12 November 2014 Lancast Ltd has seen a dramatic upsurge in interest with present and future collaborations (both locally and internationally). For this I am truly grateful. There are a lot of really cool projects and processes that are taking place for 2015 and some are already bearing fruit. Not to worry though. This blog will keep you up to date with all the projects/collaborations/products that will be coming out next year. Why not be a part of that process. We would love to provide solutions to your needs (see the “Our Services” section on this website) and don’t forget to contact us via our Contact Us link so that we can better understand your project. We would LOVE to hear from you.

So from all of us to all of you. Have a safe, productive and CREATIVE 2015. Much love and blessings.
