I am honoured to be the Composer for this multiple award-winning film!!
This short film, I believe, is set to win many more awards in the future and I look forward to watching its ongoing success. This short film is called, Immune.
The logline for the film reads: “In a world scourged by a terrible disease, a healthy mother-to-be must escape the clutches of an authoritarian government or risk losing her life and that of her unborn child.”
This short film is produced by the companies Far Lane Media (run by the husband/wife team of Robert Macfarlane and Lesley-Anne Macfarlane) and In The Mo Films.
The first award the short film won was winning the ‘Best Quarantine Film’ at the Alternative Film Festival (Quarantine Category – Spring 2021 Edition). The second set of awards comes from the 8 nominations via the Seattle Film Festival. The categories we were nominated for were some of the major ones. The results from that Film Festival are seen below.
This short film, written by Maurice C. Kenney, was also a finalist in the 2017 ‘Short Shots’ competition funded by RTE. As an added bonus the short film received the We Are Albert for Sustainable Production Certification for actively taking steps to reduce the production’s carbon footprint.
Huge congratulations to everyone that was involved in making the film, from the creatives to all the patrons that supported the making of the film through the very successful Indiegogo campaign.
